Fitness First engaged Sense to design and deliver a new Revive Recovery suite at their Top Ryde Platinum club. The brief was clear: build a purpose-built wellness space that brought specialist recovery technology together under one roof, without closing the facility or disrupting members during construction.

Sense was brought in early under an ECI arrangement, contributing to design development, services planning and programme before construction commenced. That groundwork meant fewer surprises on site and a programme that worked around the club from day one.

The finished suite delivers a full recovery offering for Fitness First members. Infrared sauna, cold plunge ice baths, red light therapy and cryotherapy are brought together in a premium wellness environment that integrates seamlessly into the broader Platinum club experience.

Delivering within a live gym is a different proposition to a standard commercial fitout. The suite required wet area construction, complex hydraulic and mechanical services, high-specification joinery for the sauna construction and specialist equipment installation, all coordinated around an operational club where members were training on the other side of the hoarding throughout. Access, noise, deliveries and trade sequencing were managed daily with the Fitness First operations team to keep the build moving with minimal disruption to the club. The infrared sauna installation required particularly close coordination across multiple disciplines, with joinery, services and equipment all needing to come together to achieve the quality of finish the brief demanded.

The Revive Recovery suite at Top Ryde Platinum was handed over on time and opened to members as planned, as part of a broader Revive Recovery rollout across the Fitness First network.
