PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Tea Room at Gunners Barracks refurbishment is a response to the client wanting to give the beautiful sandstone building an interior refresh and to create a space to keep the guests warm during the winter months by enclosing the Harbour Terrace. The refresh included new and suitable finishes to compliment the timeless and elegant interiors. The project consisted of the following spaces: The Bridal Room, Main Function Room, Entry Foyer, Drawing Room, Bar Area, Male & Female Bathrooms, External Area & Main Balcony and The External Front Entrance. There were constraints to be met with the building being heritage listed, Sense Projects crafted had no problem with complying with strict heritage regulations.

The refurbishment included custom made feature carpet throughout, feature wallpaper to all walls, various joinery items including reception counter and bridal desk, hearth to the fireplace, new wait stations inside & out, feature mirrors,  bar area, vanities to male and female bathrooms. All ceiling cornices, paint, window, door hardware, roof flashing, feature chandeliers, light fittings,  floor tiles, toilet partitions and services were either replaced or upgraded as required.
