Deutsche Bank Place is a 240m skyscraper in Sydney; it is located at 126 Phillip Street in a premium location within the city across the road from Chifley Tower. Designed by world renowned Architect Sir Norman Foster of Foster and Partners construction of the skyscraper began in 2002 and was completed in 2005. Deutsche Bank is the primary tenant, occupying 9 floors and owning the naming rights. Sense Projects was engaged by Eastview Commercial on behalf of Investa to undertake refurbishment works on Level 8 of 126 Phillip Street. At the time Levels 8 to16 of 126 Phillip Street, Sydney was tenanted by Deutsche Bank who wanted to surrender level 8 to the building owners, Investa Property. Investa wished to complete the immediate make good of the floor back to the base building standard. The works entailed the demolition of the existing tenancy, the make good of the tenancy including replacement of the carpet, ceilings and troffer lighting to replicate the base building design as well as the infill of the inter-tenancy stairs. The stairs had coloured polyurethane MDF wall panelling which needed to be removed and replicated on level 9, as the base of level 9 needed to match the current base stair design of level 8.
