130 Pitt Street is located in Sydney's most established business precinct opposite No.1 Martin Place and Sydney GPO. This coveted location offers unrivalled access to nearby transport networks, gyms, childcare, restaurants and world class retail facilities. A growing number of workplaces are providing enclosed bicycle parking, showers, lockers and change rooms in an effort to have a positive benefit on the health and wellbeing of employees. Sense Projects was engaged by Eastview Commercial on behalf of Investa to undertake the redevelopment of the Level 3 bathrooms at 130 Pitt Street into a new shower block. The building did not provide an end of journey change area facilities with the existing male and female bathroom block being underutilized. The works included demolition of the existing amenities and construction of 3 new executive shower cubicles, lockers, 1 new female bathroom and 1 new DDA bathroom. The works also included the relabeling of the existing ground floor DDA to male bathroom and the provision of bike storage facilities within the basement level.
The works included complete demolition of the existing male & female bathroom block, new floor & wall surfaces to the Showers and Accessible & Female toilets this included new shower bench seating, fixtures & fittings, mirrors and toughened glass shower screens, construction of new plasterboard ceiling to entire level 3 facilities as well as compact laminate lockers with digital keypad. Basement Level Bike storage works included the supply & install of new bike racks, new epoxy paint to floor of bike storage area, line markings showing the access route from the top of the car park ramp and pedestrian route from the bike cage to the ground floor lobby.
